ConstructSim Planner gives you the ability to enhance existing Construction Planning processes utilizing a Virtual Construction Model (VCM) created from many disparate data inputs. These inputs come from many facets of a construction project including Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and so on up through Construction Progress and Commissioning Progress.

The features provided by ConstructSim Planner are solely dependent on the availability and accuracy of the data imported from the different construction facets mentioned above. Depending on the type of data brought into the VCM, different aspects of ConstructSim Planner can be leveraged.

The main focus of importing data is to create a Virtual Construction Model (VCM) containing objects as they would be constructed in the field. Typical engineering models do not contain this level of aggregation in order to be used purely for construction purposes. As a result, it is necessary to import this construction data and process the entire data set to produce a VCM specific to construction workflows.
